Lucic: Telekom Srbija is Becoming a Regional Digital Platform of the Future
The General Director of Telekom Srbija, Vladimir Lucic, announced further streamlining of TV content and the development of a unified digital platform with regional reach, in strategic partnership with global players and diversification of media offerings.
Lucic stated that the company is entering a new phase of development with the goal of becoming a regional digital platform that integrates news and entertainment content. The focus in the upcoming period will be on optimizing channel offerings and strengthening recognizable and professional brands.
"The transformation is already underway, and the acquisition of United Group marked the final step in the development of cable channels. We have ensured national coverage for all channels, thereby eliminating the need for market competition among operators," Lucic told Euronews.
He added that Telekom now holds a unique position – as a content producer whose material is broadcast beyond its own network.
In the latest edition of the program Pulse of the Planet on Newsmax Balkans, we analyzed the key aspects of modern American leadership through a comparison of the approaches of Donald Trump and Joe Biden, providing a comprehensive insight into the differences between the two models of governance.
CEO of Telekom Srbija, Vladimir Lucic, stated in an interview with Newsmax Balkans that the channel will evolve into Newsmax Europe, confirming an agreement to expand its reach into Eastern Europe.
According to him, the future of media consumption lies in digital platforms. "Young people are already watching traditional TV channels less and less. In ten to fifteen years, most content will be consumed through a few regional digital platforms. Telekom Srbija wants to be that platform of choice," Lucic explained.
He also announced potential collaboration with global tech giants: “Major players like Amazon have shown interest in cooperating with us, which is a strong signal for further growth and development.”
Vladimir Lucic emphasized that Telekom’s network rationalization has contributed to greater content accessibility: "We’ve brought in three strong international brands—Euronews, Bloomberg, and Newsmax – enriching the market and giving users more freedom of choice."
"Our goal is to expand these international channels to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, and other sensitive regions, where we will uphold professional standards and provide high-quality content," Lucic concluded.

SINTEZA (R)
I devedesetih i sada vodimo borbu oko vrednosti.
