Appeal of the Serb List Upheld: Ordered That Its Candidates Be Certified for Local Elections
The Election Complaints and Appeals Panel (ECAP) upheld the appeal of the Serb List against the decision of the Central Election Commission (CEC) not to certify its list of candidates for the local elections in Kosovo and Metohija scheduled for October 12 and requested that the CEC certify the list.

In Zubin Potok, a fire broke out in the printing house of Milos Perovic, an official of the Serb List and the party’s candidate in the upcoming local elections. The fire was caused by an attack with an explosive device on the premises, but firefighters quickly contained the blaze.
In the reasoning of its decision, the ECAP stated that the CEC’s decision was not properly grounded in law and that it was not convincingly proven that certain candidates had violated Article 29 of the Law on General Elections, which sets the criteria for eligibility to stand for election.
The ECAP requested that the CEC certify the list of Serb List candidates for the municipalities in which it had submitted applications to participate in the local elections.
